6th Annual Indian Education for All Best Practices Conference
February 27-28, 2012
Billings – Crowne Plaza Hotel

Understanding our Differences, Valuing our Connections – Building and Maintaining Culturally Responsive Relationships

Please join us as Montana educators share the knowledge, skills, and materials needed to fulfill the instructional obligation of our state's constitutionally mandated Indian Education for All act. Connecting to the work that has been carried on during the last five years to successfully and comprehensively implement Indian Education for All across Montana’s diverse communities, the theme for this year’s conference will explore the importance of crossing cultural and community divides to establish strong and productive relationships.

There will be a $35 registration fee, to be made payable to the Office of Public Instruction. After you have registered on line, you will receive an initial e-mail confirmation indicating you are preliminarily registered along with information on how to submit payment. Once OPI receives the fee, you will receive a second e-mail confirming your final registration with a receipt for the payment. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. The registration deadline is February 10.

There will be renewal units available.

Conference materials may be picked up starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 27. The conference ends at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Crowne Plaza, (252-7400) under OPI Best Practices until January 26.
