Call for External Evaluators - MT Schools of Promise

The Office of Public Instruction (OPI) seeks to establish a pool of qualified external evaluators from which districts with Title I School Improvement Grant funds may contract with for conducting teacher evaluations.  The evaluations will be conducted using the Schools of Promise Performance Appraisal System (SOPPAS) tool and qualified external evaluators will be those selected for and completing the SOPPAS training offered by OPI.  This training is expected to take place in early December 2010 with evaluations beginning in February 2011.  Qualified external evaluators must live within reasonable driving distance of one or more of the following school districts:  Frazer, Pryor, Lodge Grass, or Lame Deer.  This work will entail the evaluator to be on-site at one of the school districts for up to a week at a time. To qualify for the training and to become a qualified external evaluator, persons must hold a valid Montana administrative license or be able to renew such by February 1, 2011.  Interested and qualified persons should call Jenine Synness at 406-444-0794 or email Jenine at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
